CHECK IT OUT AND THEN CHECK-IN
As an airline innovator, Jetstar is always on the lookout for the newest and smartest ways to improve efficiency and tackle constantly increasing passenger numbers. So as of this month, it’s providing customers with two convenient new check-in methods – via Webcheck as well as check-in kiosks at various high-traffic airports. These two initiatives will help speed up the check-in process.
The first phase will see Jetstar introduce the online check-in options and 32 airport check-in kiosk units at its major domestic airports – Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne-Avalon. Other domestic airports will be in the pipeline by the end of the year.
Jetstar has always believed in using technology in its pursuit of maintaining low costs and increased efficiency. “The agreement to roll out these service delivery solutions at airport check-ins is all about meeting our strong growth predictions in passenger volumes in the Australian market over the next 18 months with a customer-friendly solution at busy airports,” says Jetstar CEO Alan Joyce.
Phase one will be in place and ready to roll in time to handle the busy Christmas season.
Passengers can start enjoying the convenience of these self-service kiosks at Melbourne Airport this month.
