Summer isn’t over yet. These covetable must-haves will help prolong that summer lovin’ feeling

FINISH PEARLY: Aria Bracelet

The new Kailissima collection from Kailis jewellery is simply stunning. This family-owned pearl farm in Broome creates contemporary pieces which are stocked in jewellery shops across Australia, as well as in France and Spain (after all, the face of their brand is beautiful Spanish model Ines Sastre). The Kailissima range is modern and sensual, using 20-carat yellow gold and high-gloss white gold to set off the gleaming Broome pearls set with diamonds. From AU$1,150 for Dolce earrings. Outlets and stockists arelisted on www.kailisaustralianpearls.com.au

OH, TO BE SQUARE

For all you coffee addicts out there who also have a weakness for cool design, the Nespresso Le Cube coffee machine will certainly melt your heart.

This minimalist, square (of course!) appliance is no push-over however, as the 19-bar high-pressure pump and thermobloc guarantees optimum extraction of flavour and unsurpassed crema. Manufactured by DeLonghi, Le Cube comes in two colours — brick red with glossy transparent finish (AU$399) and silver with anodised aluminium finish (AU$449). Available at the Nespresso boutique (171 King Street, Sydney, Australia-wide enquiries tel: 1800 623 033) or at major department and electrical stores. Check it out on www.nespresso.com

BOOMERANG DRIVE

You have been warned — the new It bag of the season is the Boomerang, from Tod’s Spring/ Summer 2007 women’s collection. Hitting Melbourne’s David Jones department store this month, the shoulder bag comes in both a soft version for day and a clutch for evening, in seven colours (including bronze and porcelain) and in five materials (including calfskin and lizard). The Driving Shoe, the brand’s signature shoe, also features in both men’s and women’s collections. But it’s the ballerina shoes that are the most versatile this season. With either a bow or a buckle, they can be worn with every one of your travel outfits. Prices unavailable.

COMING UP ROSES

Few things dehydrate skin faster than flying, but the quickest way to refresh, cool and hydrate is to spritz on some Jurlique Pure Rosewater Freshener for an instant perk-up. This South Australian product uses roses from Jurlique’s very own garden, as well as aloe vera to tone and balance the skin. Just mist twice onto face with eyes closed, press moisture into skin with fingertips and feel alive again. Available at Jurlique, department stores and pharmacies for AU$32.

NECESSARY ACCESSORIES
Glamour girls get set to spy the latest range from Italy’s luxe designers when Bulgari’s Spring/Summer Accessory Collection 2007 (SS07) hits stores this month, together with the B.zero1. While the SS07 collection conjures up idyllic Mediterranean summers with its golden colours and textures, the B.zero1 range is a sequel to the iconic yellow gold B.zero1 ring that debuted to sighs more than seven years ago. The SS07 bags feature baby soft leather for day and added metallic touches for hot nights, complementing the bold B.zero1 range. We’re particularly enamoured with the distinctive charm rings. The SS07 Collection starts from AU$430 for a gold ostrich bracelet and the B.zero1 collection from AU$1,740 for a yellow gold charm ring with diamonds, available in the Sydney (75 Castlereagh St., tel: +61 (02) 9233 3611) and Melbourne (119 Collins St., tel: +61 (03) 9663 8100) boutiques.

POT OF GOLD
Savvy women will want a jar of Elizabeth Arden’s apricotcoloured Eight Hour Cream Vintage Edition Skin Protectant, which is so versatile and effective in nourishing your skin that you can apply it anywhere – face, hands, legs, arms, feet… even your nails. It’ll perk you up if you’re jet-lagged and make every inch of your skin glow. Enjoying a cult status among movie stars such as Cate Blanchett and Emma Thompson, the 30g jar will only be available for a limited time from 4 February in Myer, David Jones and authorised pharmacies at AU$34.

PUCKER UP
Dragging the laptop around on a business trip (or any trip for that matter) can be such a pain – it’s heavy, you have to take it out and switch it on at every security checkpoint, and you dread putting it in the overhead compartment in case it gets banged up. The sleek and lightweight L.I.P.S (Laptop Impact Protection System) range of travel luggage, with black exterior and red interior, promises function and protection when travelling. It comes in four options: carry case, backpack, ladies’ carry case and small trolley case to suit your individual style. And the ladies carry case comes with an unbeatable feature – interior illumination. Check www.lipsbags.com for stockists.

TAKE FLIGHT
The latest Motorola phone, the Motorizr Z3, continues in the vein of sleek, cool design with increasing functionality – a cult object with mass appeal. Their fi rst slider phone, Motorola has cleverly made this phone possible to use in both open and closed positions. Enhanced features include an all-new 2-megapixel camera operated by a side key with a high-intensity camera light and a landscape viewfi nder. There’s even a fl ight mode where you can access your music and games while onboard without interfering with the plane’s electronics. Currently only available in black. Price unavailable but destined to fly off shelves.
